Who We Are

New Era Games is a customer-focused global company providing high-quality gaming merchandise at unbeatable prices. We started during the 2020 lockdown with a simple mission: to bring gaming closer to everyone. Over the years, we’ve grown into authorized retailers for Blackhawk Inc., Mintroute, and other global distributors, offering reliable and authentic gift cards.

In October 2024, we opened our first physical store in Kampala to serve our customers better, adding services like console repairs and servicing. We’re also proud to be one of the few gaming stores in Kampala that accept PayPal, Visa, and Mastercard for online payments.

Our Story

Born out of passion and necessity, New Era Games was founded by Trevor, an avid gamer with a lifelong love for gaming. During a holiday break in 2020, Trevor noticed a gap in the market: Ugandan gamers were struggling to access reliable gift cards and online gaming platforms due to regional restrictions. Many existing sellers offered invalid cards with no refunds, leaving customers frustrated.

Trevor’s solution? Build a trusted platform where gamers could find authentic products, reliable service, and a community-driven gaming experience. Starting with gift cards and gaming consoles, he soon expanded the business to include console repairs, servicing, and accessories.

Today, New Era Games is a full-scale game shop, offering something for every gamer—whether you’re a solo player, a family gamer, or planning an gaming event.

  • Trevor – Founder
    Known as the “gameplug” during his high school days, Trevor’s love for gaming started with classics like FIFA 98 and PES 2004. His entrepreneurial journey began in school, selling games to classmates. In 2020, he identified a gap in the market and created New Era Games to provide reliable gaming solutions to Uganda’s growing gaming community. Trevor’s commitment to quality and trust has made New Era Games a household name.
